5 Days / 4 Nights

Day 1: With your local guide, drive from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Crater. Overnight on the crater rim or the nearby highlands or relaxing at your lodge. Add-on available to drive down into Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 2: Drive from Ngorongoro to Serengeti national park,through quintessential East African savannah landscapes.After getting settled in your lodge,take a late afternoon wildlife drive in the Serengeti.

Day 3: Spend the day taking in the Serengeti’s abundant wildlife,especially its lions and other predators.

Day 4: Explore Serengeti. Available options include wildlife drives, an early morning balloon safaris over the Serengeti plains or a visit to Oldvai Gorge.

Day 5: Return to Arusha, with optional stop in Tarangire park, or detour to Lake Eyasi, with its stark scenery and fascinating cultures.

4 Days / 3 Nights

Day 1: Accompanied by a local guide, you will drive from the City of Arusha to Tarangire National Park.  This location will capture your heart with gigantic Baobab trees, majestic elephants, elegant giraffes, and amazing sunsets.  You will have lunch in the park, and enjoy dinner at your hotel in or near the park.

Day 2:  With your knowledgeable local guides, you will continue to the geologic wonder that is the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy an optional add-on nature walk in the Ngorongoro highlands during the afternoon, or visit a traditional Maasai boma. You will overnight on the Crater rim or in nearby Karatu town.

Day 3: Drive down into Ngorongoro Crater and spend the morning enjoying its wildlife and wonderful scenery and abundance.  This is one of the few places you might spot a rhino! In the afternoon, we will drive eastwards to Lake Manyara park,where you can spend the night. You may enjoy an optional nature walk around the lake, and special birding tours.

Day 4: Begin the morning with a beautiful wildlife drive around Lake Manyara and return to Arusha.

Wildlife spotting is best between June and November, while birding is most rewarding between December and May
